So with ScVi released and the Paradox Pokemon fully revealed now, it reminds me of the SuMo releases and the Ultra Beasts, except for one thing; the names are stuck as they are.

Whilst the Ultra Beasts had the codenames (ie UB-01 Symbiont) they also had actual names (ie Nihilego), it seems the Paradox Pokemon just have the codename-style names and I'm gutted. Here are some names I propose:

Great Tusk / Dinophan (dino & Donphan)

Brute Bonnet / Protoonguss (prototaxite & -oonguss)

Sandy Shocks / Magnetribe (simple enough)

Scream Tail / Jigglyruff (simple again)

Flutter Mane / Misterosaurus (Mis- & saurus, mysterious)

Slither Wing / Jupidopta (Jupiter & lepidoptera)

Roaring Moon / Metopomence (metoposaurus & Salamence)

Iron Treads / Donphast (Donphan & fast)

Iron Moth / Juneffona (Juno & UFO, -[ar]ona)

Iron Hands / Haritetsu (Hariyama & tetsu)

Iron Jugulis / Cybreigon (cyber & Hydreigon)

Iron Thorns / Tyranicharge (Tyranitar & charge)

Iron Bundle / Gentudeetu (Gentoo penguin & R2D2)

Iron Valiant / Gallardian (Gallade & Gardevoir & guardian)

As an idea to toy with, I may include the Paradox Pokemon in Pocket Monsters World as either unique evolutions or a special type of Mega evolution, either using time related hold items.

Is there a consensus that fans have for any Pokémon that aren’t named as Ultra Beasts in SMUSUM that are in fact Ultra Beasts?

ie Eternatus (who imo clearly is both in design and the lore in SwSh)

I’d love to hear thoughts so as to compile an Ultra Dex instead of them appearing in regional Dexes.

Pocket Monsters World is a retelling of the Pokemon core series, including the regions from Colosseum/XD and the Ranger series.

A big part of the story element to Pocket Monsters World is going to be its Stories - a way to separate the many storylines that occur in each region, and between regions. These storylines will feature events including significant NPCs, the Rocket Gang (who will be in every region as an international villain) and many more, but the spotlight will be the Legendary Stories - inspired by SwSh DLC Crown Tundra's 'Adventures'.

The Legendaries & Mythicals will all be obtainable by completing their respective stories, all stored in your Journal (a quest tracker of sorts for all stories, since there will be so much to do in PMW).

An example would be interacting with the lab beneath Cinnabar Mansion to discover the creation of Mewtwo, following the clues to Mr Fuji, the Silph Corp and so on, until you're led to Cerulean Cave where you can then access and trigger the event to encounter and catch Mewtwo.

Since there is multiple and sometimes contradicting lore relating to the various Legendary and Mythical Pokemon across the games, I'm going to be filtering through and crafting a narrative for each that will incorporate various regions' versions so the hunt for each legendary is not only fun and to a degree familiar, but not too long and tedious that they become a chore.

Instead of using the gimmicky terminology of Mega Evolution, Regional Variant (or Alolan, Galarian, etc) and Ultra Beast (and Ultra Wormhole), using stylised icons in the text boxes and UI with Greek letters will make PMW a little more grown up. The letters will be as follows:

Ω Omega, instead of Mega (Evolution), as it is associated with final, as the last letter of the Greek alphabet, and also sounds similar to Mega so is a nice alternative

Δ Delta, instead of Alolan/Galarian (Variant), as it is associated with change or difference, of which regional variants are different to the commonly known variant

Λ Lambda, instead of Ultra (Beast), as it is associated with the cosmological constant, the energy density of space that relates to the expansion of the universe and dark matter, which thematically links to wormholes and Ultra Space

Are there any Pokémon that you think don't belong in any particular regional Pokédex from their respective games (maybe they were just thrown in to be catchable as opposed to suited), or likewise any Pokémon from newer regions that might belong in an earlier regional Pokédex, but due to nature of remakes staying true to originals or just a lack of remakes haven't been added?

I'm trying to rebalance the regional distribution of Pokémon, including regional forms, whilst also increasing the size of the Gen I - IV regional Pokédices.

Input from Pokéfans is essential to building a better Pokémon world for <Pocket Monsters World> so don't be afraid of any suggestion.
